Humphry Davy

British chemist and inventor who especially discovered many alkali and alkaline earth metals. In 1815, he developed the Davy Light, which was found in coal mines since it was a safer option to earlier mine lights. He was an apprentice to French doctor Bingham Borlase. From 1877, The Royal Culture of London granted an annual Davy Medal to a superb chemist. He was wedded to Elegance Millet. He and Louis Pasteur both produced important contributions towards the field of chemistry.
