Known for his famous recordings and collaborations, not forgetting his mastery of Beethoven and Mozart. He went to the Royal University of Music where he earned the premier award after completing his initial season. He debuted being a conductor in 1985 and continued to collaborate using the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and many more. He wedded piano partner Hilary Macnamara with whom he fathered two sons. He honored the 40th wedding anniversary of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s loss of life by executing and broadcasting five London recitals that jointly shown the composer’s full solo piano functions.
