Monday Night Soccer sportscaster who developed a famous on-air companionship with boxer Muhammad Ali. He graduated from NYU with an British degree and later on returned for law college. He was quoted stating ‘Arrogant, pompous, obnoxious, vain, cruel, verbose, a showoff. I have already been called many of these. Obviously, I am.’ He wedded Mary Edith Abrams in 1944; the few experienced two daughters collectively. His most well-known broadcasting moment happened throughout a boxing match between Joe Frazier and George Foreman where he stated “Down will go Frazier” repeatedly by the end.
