Homer Burton Adkins

Appreciated for his research on the consequences of hydrogenation upon various organic substances, this prominent chemist can be significant for his World Battle II-era research regarding toxic gases found in chemical warfare. After gaining his doctorate in chemistry in the Ohio State School, he proved helpful for america Department of Battle and trained at both his alma mater and, for quite some time, at the School of Wisconsin-Madison. He was in charge of the introduction of a chemical substance catalyst known as copper chromite (also called the “Adkins catalyst”). Among three kids blessed to Alvin and Emily Adkins, he grew up on a plantation in Ohio. He afterwards resided in Wisconsin along with his wife, Louise Spivey, and his kids Roger, Nance, and Susanne. USA Leader Harry S. Truman provided Adkins using the esteemed Medal for Merit.
