Hilda Doolittle

Avant-garde, Imagist poet and writer who wrote beneath the pencil name of H.D. and is well known for such poetry series as Hymen as well as the God. Her prose functions are the Sword WENT to Ocean and Palimpsest. She examined at Bryn Mawr University, but still left after three semesters to live and compose in NY and Britain. She consulted with well-known emotional theorist Sigmund Freud on the problem of her bisexual orientation. She wedded and divorced fellow poet Richard Aldington and acquired some other interactions with men and women. Her function was promoted with the renowned poet Ezra Pound. She and Pound had been also briefly involved.
