Jazz artist who all became referred to as the author of the standard Female Sings the Blues. He obtained greater appreciation pursuing his loss of life. He was a draftee in the Infantry during Globe Battle II. He battled to obtain a documenting agreement, lobbying Alfred Lion at Blue Take note Records for the possibility in 1947. He finally documented in 1955, but several monitors weren’t released before 1980s. His parents had been from St. Kitts and Trinidad, but he grew up in Harlem. He and Thelonious Monk became close friends at Minton’s Playhouse, among the only good stuff to result from his knowledge there.
