Biography

American-born United kingdom author who wrote The Family portrait of a female, The Turn from the Screw, as well as the American. He’s considered an integral amount in 19th-century literary realism. He signed up for Harvard Law College at age group nineteen, but committed himself to a literary profession after submitting his first brief tale, A Tragedy of Mistake, at age twenty-one. A prolific writer, he released over twenty books and greater than a hundred novellas and brief stories during the period of his almost fifty-year profession. He was the sibling from the renowned philosopher and psychologist, William Adam. He also acquired a sister, Alice, who attained a amount of posthumous popularity for her released diary. He inspired the literary advancement and writing design of writer Virginia Woolf.
