Composer and arranger of popular marches and screamers whose functions were adapted by several Florida colleges. A few of his popular functions included “Troopers Tribunal” from 1905 and “Miss Trombone” from 1908. He sang in the chapel choir like a youngsters and made up and released his first march, known as “Higham,” at age group 18. He spent period using the College or university of Miami music group, writing band teaching functions that stayed used decades later on. His rendition of “The Celebrity Spangled Banner” was utilized by Florida Condition College or university. He was created the eldest of five kids, and his dad was a gospel-song composer and partner in the Fillmore spiritual music publishing home. He was the last of an extended type of march composers, starting his function after John Philip Sousa got already retired.
