Hemanta Kumar Mukhopadhyay

Bengali singer and composer known for his work in films such as for example Balika Badhu, Deep Jwele Jaai, and Pratibha, Tunibou. He attempted to become writer and released a short tale in the Bengali mag Desh. He earned National Film Honours for Greatest Playback Vocalist in 1971 and 1986. His family members was originally from Western world Bengal, however they migrated to Kolkata in the first 1900s. He sang tracks compiled by the well-known film composer Salil Chowdhury.
