Helen Zille

Leader from the Democratic Alliance Party of South Africa, Leading of South Africa’s European Cape Province, and one-time Mayor of Cape City, South Africa. Also a journalist and activist, she had written numerous anti-apartheid items through the 1970s and early 1980s. After graduating from the College or university from the Witwatersrand, she worked well as a politics article writer for the Rand Daily Email. Through the 1980s, she was seriously involved with a women’s anti-apartheid motion called Dark Sash. She and her spouse, Johann Maree, welcomed two sons between 1984 and 1989. She publicly criticized the sexist claims of South African Chief executive Jacob Zuma.
