Biography

Aviator who was simply the very first American girl to get a pilot’s permit and the initial girl to fly on the British Channel. She proved helpful being a journalist in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA and a theater critic in NEW YORK before gaining her pilot’s permit in 1911. She composed seven screenplays which were converted to silent movies. She was the little girl of Ursula and William Quimby. She passed away within an aviation incident in 1912 at age group thirty-seven. She and Amelia Earhart had been fellow feminine aviators.
