Late NY Moments music critic who earned a Pulitzer Prize for Criticism in 1971. He gained a qualification from Brooklyn University in 1937, before their studies at New York School. He in addition has written the non-fiction works THE FANTASTIC Pianists, THE FANTASTIC Conductors, and Facing the Music. He includes a brother along with a sister. He publicly criticized Glenn Gould ‘s functionality of Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 1 in 1962.
