Served as a co-employee justice from the U.S. Supreme Courtroom from 1945 to 1958. He graduated from Harvard Rules College in 1912. He was instrumental in causing an unanimous decision within the landmark case Dark brown v. Panel of Education, which ruled college segregation unconstitutional. He wedded Selma Florence Smith in 1912. That they had four kids jointly. He was nominated towards the Supreme Courtroom by Leader Harry S. Truman.
