Louisiana-born author who wrote biographies, histories, and stories occur her residential state, including Monsieur Motte and Le Dame de Sainte Hermine. She received an honorary level from Tulane College or university in 1915. She was created in New Orleans and, in her youngsters, was a pupil of Charles Gayarre, a fellow Louisiana article writer and historian. Her most well-known works, released between 1893 and 1932, consist of New Orleans: THE AREA as well as the People; Recollections of the Southern Girl of Words; and Balcony Tales. She was among seven children delivered to William Woodson Ruler and Sarah Ann Miller Ruler. She and Tag Twain had been literary contemporaries and close friends.
