Feminist activist and founder and publisher of Ms. newspaper. She famously spoke for the women’s liberation motion through the 1960s and ’70s. After graduating from senior high school in Washington, D.C., she went to Smith University in Massachusetts. Early in her profession, she composed a controversial content on contraception for Esquire newspaper. She penned many books, including Trend from Within (1992), Outrageous Serves and Everyday Rebellions (1983), and Shifting beyond Phrases (1993). She was wedded to British activist David Bale (the daddy of film professional Christian Bale) from 2000 to 2003. She co-founded the Women’s Mass media Middle with Jane Fonda and Robin Morgan in 2005.
