Remembered for a number of songs co-written with her one-time partner Noel Regney, Baker could very well be most famous on her behalf contributions towards the Christmas carol “Perform You Listen to What I Listen to?” (made up in 1962) and the favorite song “Rainfall Rain DISAPPEAR COMPLETELY.” Given birth to to Jewish parents Tag and Rose Shain, she was raised in Brookline, Massachusetts, as another door neighbor of long term United States Chief executive John F. Kennedy. In her more youthful years, she performed with her siblings Thelma and Esther as an associate from the Shain Sisters trio. Through the old age of her existence, she offered as the accompanist for operatic tenor Jan Peerce. Previously in her profession, she had organized function by both Irving Berlin and Stephen Sondheim. After her two-decade relationship to French songwriter Noel Regney finished in the first 1970s, she wedded William Baker. She had written the 1961 Wayne Darren strike “Goodbye Cruel Globe.”
