Giorgio Vasari

An Italian Renaissance architect, painter, and author, he’s most widely known for his 1550 biographical work, Lives of the very most Eminent Painters, Sculptors, and Architects. He’s also known for creating an octagonal dome for Pistoia, Italy’s Basilica of Our Female of Humility. He befriended Michelangelo while learning in Florence. His created works talk about the lives and professions of several of the fantastic performers of his time. He was raised in Tuscany. He began monitoring in Florence after his cousin inspired him to be an musician. Many contemporary biographies of Leonardo da Vinci pull from Vasari’s function.
