Canadian poet, musician, and publisher from the advancement of the Quebecois chanson (tune). His many chanson recordings add a la Comedie-Canadienne, Mon Gives, and Le Nord du Nord. He examined in a seminary in Rimouski before starting a publishing home in 1959. His tune “Mon Gives” — included on the soundtrack of the 1965 film — constructed his reputation being a vocalist/songwriter. His seven kids were called Louis, Pascale, Michel, Guillame, Francois, Jessica, and Benjamin. He and fellow poet Emile Nelligan had been both delivered in Quebec.
