Gilbert Hodgkinson

Right-handed batsman for Derbyshire between 1935-1946. He made an appearance in 19 high grade matches, credit scoring 472 operates. He honed his abilities while participating in Derby College. He captained Derbyshire in 1946, soon after coming back home from assistance in World Battle II. He was created and elevated in Derby, and passed away in Mickleover. He’s part of an extended type of Derbyshire captains which includes Simon Katich.
