Gerald Stern


Poet who have received the Country wide Book Award because of this Period: New and Selected Poems. His various other poetry collections are the Naming of Beasts, Loaf of bread Without Glucose, and In Beauty Shiny. He researched at both College or university of Pittsburgh and Columbia College or university. American Sonnets, his 2002 poetry collection, was shortlisted for the International Griffin Poetry Award. He wedded Patricia Miller in 1952. Before divorcing, he and Miller became parents to two kids. He was motivated with the poetry of T.S. Eliot.
