George Devol

Famous as the inventor of Unimate, the initial automated robot to be utilized for commercial purposes, Devol was an integral figure in the introduction of modern-day robotics and was also among the 1st testers of microwave technology. Early in his profession as an inventor, he opened up a business known as United Cinephone that targeted to benefit from the then-new “talkie” film market.
