George Cosbuc

Romanian poet, educator, journalist, and translator who’s remembered for such rural-themed poetry collections as Balade si Idile and Nunta Zamfirei. Later on in existence, he edited a publication known as Samanatorul. He went to college in Nasaud, Romania and consequently worked like a instructor. He translated Virgil’s Aeneid into Romanian. His dad was a priest in the Greek Catholic Chapel. George Cosbuc wed Elena Sfetea in 1895 and experienced a child, Alexandru, who was simply tragically killed inside a 1915 motor vehicle accident. He was a modern of Hungarian pianist Ilona Kabos.
