Geoffrey Keezer

Known for his high-profile collaborations as well as for sketching upon Hawaiian, Okinawan, and Afro-Peruvian folk music. He started using Artwork Blakey as well as the Jazz Messengers in 1989 when he was 18. He continued to be using the group until Blakey’s moving. He gained a Grammy nomination for Greatest Latin Jazz Recording after liberating Áurea, his 2009 Compact disc. His parents had been both music educators, and he started acquiring piano lessons when he was three.
