Former Western world Virginia School quarterback who was simply selected by the brand new York Jets in the next round from the 2013 NFL Draft. He became the Jets beginner in the preseason of his first year year. He finished a fantastic 71.2 percent of his goes by during his 2012 season with West Virginia while throwing 42 touchdowns in support of six interceptions. He gained an oratorical competition in fifth quality for reciting Langston Hughes poems. Although his NFL profession has been proclaimed by problems, he recorded an ideal passer ranking (158.3) within the last video game from the 2014 period. He was raised in Florida along with his youthful brother, Geonte. Being a junior at Western world Virginia, he threw for 401 back yards in the Orange Dish, breaking Tom Brady’s 11-year-old record of 396.

1 Punched out by Ik Enemkpali during a locker-room altercation, breaking Smith's jaw in two places. Smith had to undergo surgery and will be out 6-10 weeks. According to the August 16th New York Times, Smith's friend was in an accident the day Smith was to appear for a children's football clinic Enemkpali was hosting. Smith did not tell Enemkpali he would not be at the clinic nor had he reimbursed Enemkpali the $600 Enemkpali paid for Smith's plane tickets and limo. The day after Enemkpali was released by the Jets, he was claimed by the Buffalo Bills whose head coach, Rex Ryan, had drafted him. [August 11, 2015].
