Franny Beecher

Biography

Lead guitarist for Expenses Haley & His Comets from 1954 to 1962. He began with Expenses Haley like a program musician, and far later became a member of the band completely. He made up “Blue Comet Blues,” “Goofin’ Around,” “Week End,” and “Shaky.” He was raised in Norristown, Pa. He became a member of the Benny Goodman Orchestra in 1948, remaining there for a lot more than six years.
