Nicknamed “Typhoon Tyson”, among the fastest bowlers ever observed in cricket, he bowled for England and Northamptonshire. He was a college or university graduate of Hatfield University in the College or university of Durham, uncommon to get a cricketer in the 1950’s. He released a lot more than 15 books about cricket, including 1982’s The Cricketer Who Laughed and 1991’s The Conditions of the overall game: Dictionary of Cricket.
