A 20th-century Irish writer of brief fiction, he’s most widely known for “THE PERSON of the home” as well as other autobiographical tales. The Frank O’Connor International Brief Story Prize was called in his honor. He offered within the Irish Republican Military through the Irish Battle of Independence. Afterwards, he worked because the handling director from the well-known Abbey Theater in Dublin. His wartime encounters factored into his decision to create “THE BEST Fellow,” a biography of the Irish Independence head. His dad was an alcoholic, therefore his mother got treatment of him and his siblings and supplied a lot of the family’s income. O’Connor was wedded twice–to Evelyn Bowen and Harriet Affluent– and fathered four kids. He was in the Panel of Directors from the historical Abbey Theatre, that was founded by Irish poet William Butler Yeats.
