Frank Mahovlich


Former star remaining winger nicknamed THE BEST M, his profession spanned from 1957 to 1979 and in 1998, he became a Canadian Senator. He performed minor little league hockey in the North Ontario Hockey Association. He earned six Stanley Mugs in his profession and was inducted in to the Hockey Hall of Popularity in 1981. Offers two sons and a girl along with his wife Marie Davaney. He was teammates with Dave Keon for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

1 He was appointed to the Canadian Senate by Prime Minister Jean Chretien in 1998.
2 His brother is Pete Mahovlich (known as "the Little M"), who played sixteen NHL seasons as a left wing for the Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadians and Pittsburgh Penguins. Both brothers played a few years together with the Red Wings and Canadians.
3 Calder Memorial Trophy (1958). First All-Star Team Left Wing (1961, 1963, 1973). Second All-Star Team Left Wing (1962, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1969, 1970).
4 Played left wing for the Toronto Maple Leafs (1956-1968), Detroit Red Wings (1968-1971), Montreal Canadians (1971-1974), Toronto Toros (WHL) (1974-1976) and Birmingham Bulls (WHL) (1976-1978).
5 Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1981 with Johnny Bucyk and fellow Timmons native Allan Stanley.
