Francoise Mouly

French-born comic designer offers edited the artwork section of THE BRAND NEW Yorker since 1993. She’s won numerous honours throughout her profession, like the Légion d’honneur, France’s highest honor, in 2011. She shifted to NY at age group of 19 and survived by firmly taking on any work she may find. She was called a Chevalier in the region of Arts and Characters from the French Ministry of Tradition and Conversation in 2001. She wedded the cartoonist in charge of Maus, Artwork Spiegleman; the few had two kids. She continued the legacy of Wayne Thurber, another well known cartoonist through the era preceding hers.
