Francisco De Zurbaran

Well-known for his spiritual and still-life works, this seventeenth-century Spanish painter allied himself using the Baroque and Caravaggisti creative movements. His most widely known paintings are the Loss of life of St. Bonaventure and Saint Francis in Yoga. Early in his creative profession, he was commissioned to produce function for the Seville Cathedral as well as the San Pablo Un Actual Dominican monastery. His largest-scale function is an sophisticated altarpiece designed for the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas in Seville, Spain. He was created in in Fuente de Cantos, Spain to Luis de Zurbaran and Isabel Marquez.
