Francis Poulenc

Versatile composer whose works included art music, single piano, chamber, oratorio, choral, opera, ballet, and orchestral. He had written “Le bestiaire, ou Le cortège d’Orphée” in 1917 like a routine of melodies predicated on poems by Guillaume Apollinaire. He was mainly self-taught. He received formal teaching from composer Charles Koechlin in 1921. He joined up with Les Six, a golf club comprised of youthful French and French-Swiss composers. His dad was a movie director of a chemical substance company, while his mom was an novice pianist. He 1st came to the interest of Russian composer Igor Stravinsky, who performed a job in obtaining his 1917 structure “Rapsodie Nègre” released in London.
