Frances Sargent Osgood

Nineteenth-century American poet and author who’s remembered for such well-known functions as The Casket of Destiny and Puss in Boot styles. She was among the best-known feminine authors of her era. She became a released author at age fourteen, when her function was recognized by Juvenile Miscellany, a children’s poetry periodical. She passed away in 1850 of tuberculosis. She wedded Samuel Stillman Osgood in 1835. Both separated for a while, but had been reunited many years before Frances Osgood’s loss of life. She and Edgar Allan Poe famously exchanged like poetry for a long time.
