Frances Hodgson Burnett

Writer of the famed children’s reserve, The Secret Backyard, that was published in 1911. Her various other well-known works consist of Small Lord Fauntleroy and JUST A LITTLE Princess. At age nineteen, she started writing for journals to aid her family. A FEMALE of Quality was her initial successful book for a grown-up audience. She got two kids, Lionel and Vivian, with her initial hubby, Swan Burnett. In 1900, she wedded Stephen Townshend. Her novel THE TRICK Garden was converted into a film starring celebrity Maggie Smith.
