Biography

Slovene poet and translator who published several hundred books during the period of his profession and received the prestigious Preseren Prize. His literary functions span the styles of public realism and expressionism. He proved helpful as a instructor before fighting over the Eastern Front side of World Battle I. He released his initial poetry collection, Pesmi, in 1921. Mentored by feminist editor Zofka Kveder, he began writing at age sixteen. He was the oldest of eight kids blessed to a Zakojca shoemaker and tenant farmer. He and Pavel Golia are both celebrated Slovene poets.
