Forrest Tucker

Biography

Performed the role of Sergeant O’Rourke in the classic television series, F Troop. He started performing at age group 14, moonlighting like a vocalist in the 1933 Chicago World’s Good after operating the reasonable by day time. His first part arrived in the 1940 Gary Cooper-led ‘The Westerner,’ and he made an appearance in nearly 100 Western and actions movies after. His dad was a football participant in the small leagues, and hoped he’d consider after him, but he adopted in his mother’s footsteps rather like a one-time vocalist. He appeared reverse Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn in the 1942 MGM film, Keeper from the Flame.

1Played a Cavalry Sergeant twice on TV - Morgan O'Rourke (from 1965 to 1967) in the TV series F-Troop and later (1970) in two episodes of Gunsmoke as a character named Emmett Holly.
2In the mid-1970s, Tucker toured with the Roy Radin Vaudeville Revue, a variety show in which he was featured telling Irish tales and singing Irish folk songs. Theatrical producer Roy Radin was later the victim in the so-called "Cotton Club Murder." Movie producer Robert Evans, who was producing The Cotton Club (1984) at the time of his brutal killing, had been in contact with Radin as a potential investor in the film.
3Best remembered by the public for his starring role as Sgt. Morgan O'Rourke on the western spoof F Troop (1965).

5Left acting to join the army during World War II, and eventually became a 2nd Lt. After the war he resumed his acting career.
