American stage and screen actor who increased to fame known for his roles in Babes in Toyland and Springtime in Holland. He made an appearance in the initial Broadway productions from it Happens on Snow as soon as Over Gently. He spent four months like a performer using the Metropolitan Opera Organization, and played Count number Almaviva in The Barber of Seville. He wedded Ethel Bloom plus they had one young child collectively. His biggest film was Babes in Toyland, which starred Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.
|1||Although his primary successes were in operetta and musical comedy on stage, he spent four seasons with the Metropolitan Opera Company (1946-1947 - 1949-1950), where his most frequent roles were Count Almaviva in Rossini's "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" and Arturo Bucklaw in Donizetti's "Lucia di Lammermoor." He spent his last years as a voice teacher and coach.|
