Ernst Ludwig Kirchner

Expressionist painter who was simply motivated by African and Polynesian art. He helped discovered the performers group Die Brücke or The Bridge that pioneered Expressionism in early stages. He studied structures in Dresden for a limited period, where he learned all about freehand sketching, perspective sketching, and art background. He also fulfilled and befriended Fritz Bleyl while in his initial term. He illustrated a book by Adelbert von Chamisso. He was created to parents of Prussian and Huguenot ancestry. He led a tragic lifestyle devoid of long lasting relationships; unfortunately, he dedicated suicide in 1938. He and Emil Nolde had been both people of Die Brücke.
