Ellie Lambeti

Among Greece’s most esteemed and respected stars; she made an appearance in 1954’s “Kyriakatiko xypnima” and “To Koritsi me ta mavra” in 1956. She was turned down by two theater academic institutions, until Greek celebrity Marika Kotopouli noticed potential in her. She battled cancers in her old age, even though she starred in productions of “Hello, Dolly!” in 1980 and 1981 and “Kids of a smaller God.” She and her first hubby, Marios Ploritis, fulfilled while she was filming her 1946 film, “Adoulotoi sklavoi.” Her relationship finished when she started an affair in 1952 with performer Dimitris Horn. She became a fixture from the Greek stage in the past due 1940s and starred in the 1946 Greek creation of “The Cup Menagerie” by Tennessee Williams.
