She gained identification on her behalf theatrical performances in London’s West End and appeared in the 1928 film Moulin Rouge as well as the 1929 film The Informer. She produced her on-screen debut in the 1928 silent film Moulin Rouge. She made an appearance in the 1957 British thriller film The Hypnotist. She outlived both her initial and second husbands, Adam Proudfoot and Captain Leslie Hancock. She acquired one young child with Captain Hancock. She often made an appearance in stage productions of has by George Bernard Shaw, and she also offered as president from the Shaw Society.
