An American writer of children’s literature, she actually is most well-known for her well-known Puppy Place and Kitty Part books. Her tales have already been translated into both French and Spanish. She read voraciously as a kid. Early in her literary profession, she was especially inspired with the children’s books of Dorothy Canfield Fisher. Her children’s books frequently focus on years as a child pets; her have first family pet was a tortoise-shell kitty called Jenny. She got no kids of her very own, but became an aunt to three nieces. She and Sterling North both had written children’s stories offering animal protagonists.
