Biography

American poet and author who’s remembered for the poem entitled “The Sinless Kid.” She actually is also known for “Girl and Her Requirements” and various other feminist-themed essay series. She was raised in Maine and, at age twelve, taught Weekend College to African-American kids. Her debut book was entitled Riches Without Wings; her afterwards functions of fiction are the Newsboy and Bertha and Lily. She wedded newspaper editor Seba Smith in 1823 and eventually gave delivery to six sons. She and Rita Mae Bron had been both feminist writers.
