Following a dying friend described that a woman doctor could have had the opportunity to comfort and ease her better, Blackwell became identified to enter the medical field. She aided with a number of medical help through the Civil Battle. Exactly like her four sisters, she by no means married, instead concentrating on her profession and enthusiasm for medication. She lived through the same period as Susan B. Anthony, plus they both experienced a great effect on the equalization of woman’s privileges.
