Biography

Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and U.S. Poet Laureate who’s kept in mind for North & South, A Chilly Spring, Queries of Travel, along with other functions. Her 1969 Total Poems collection received the exclusive National Book Honor. She analyzed at Vassar University, where she began like a musical structure main. Her inheritance from her dad funded some South American moves in her old age. Her father passed away when she was a child, so when she was just five yrs . old, her mom came into a mental organization. Consequently, she grew up by her grandparents in Nova Scotia and by her aunt in Boston. She was a pal of poet Robert Lowell, but she disapproved of his personal, confessional design of poetry.
