Elias Howe

Biography

Perfected the sewing model that was then popularized by Isaac Singer. He worked well as an apprentice in both a textile and mechanic manufacturing plant. He also trademarked the 1st zipper, but by no means tried to advertise it. He wedded Elizabeth Jennings Ames in March 1841. He received a commitment from Paul McCartney as well as the Beatles within their film Help! in the shutting credits.
