Eldridge R. Johnson

Known for creating the Victor Talking Machine Company with Emile Berliner. He visited the Delaware Academy until graduation in 1882 and became a machinist at J. Lodge & Child. He manufactured cable stitching and bookbinding devices. He wedded Elsie Reeves Fenimore Johnson plus they had a kid called Fen. He utilized a zinc disk in his speaking machine that was more advanced than Thomas Edison’s polish cylinders.
