Biography

Longtime information correspondent and commentator remembered for his use both CBS Current information (radio) as well as the Country wide Broadcasting Company (tv). He briefly anchored the Today present and often made an appearance on Meet up with the Press. He graduated using a politics science degree in the School of Wisconsin and afterwards studied American federal government at Louisiana Condition University. Through the 1960s, ’70s, and ’80s, he supplied NBC election season coverage from the Democratic and Republican nationwide conventions. He wedded Rigel Grell in 1944; the few welcomed a little girl, Nancy, the next season. In 1947, he transferred to the CBS Information radio department and proved helpful under Eric Sevareid.
