Edwin M. Stanton


Nineteenth-century American attorney who served as Secretary of Battle through the American Civil Battle years. He handed the Ohio club test in 1836 and participated in his initial legal trial at age group twenty-one. He passed on just times after Leader Ulysses S. Offer nominated him towards the Supreme Courtroom as a co-employee Justice. He was created to Lucy and David Stanton in Steubenville, Ohio. He started serving under Leader Abraham Lincoln and, pursuing Lincoln’s Assassination, continuing in his post as Secretary of Battle beneath the Reconstruction-era administration of Andrew Johnson.
