Edward Gold

Individual and eclectic composer who wrote for orchestra, piano, and chamber ensemble. He became a member of the tonality-based Delian Culture. He visited Yale University College of Music for his Experts, where he was trained by Mel Powell. He also researched under Nadia Reisenberg on the Mannes University of Music. He attempted atonality and twelve-tone methods, and then drift from this form of music after graduating from Yale. He was created in Brooklyn, but was raised in NEW YORK, where his family members delivered him to open public schools and afterwards CCNY, where he majored in music. He experimented in his early years with merging Igor Stravinsky’s music with atonal and twelve-tone methods.
