Edsel Dope


American vocalist who began performing using the metallic band Dope in 1997. He also co-produced every one of the band’s released albums. He and his sibling founded Dope in 1997 in NEW YORK. He performed drums within a band known as Makeshift Romeo. His sibling Simon offered as Dope’s lead keyboardist. He and Mikael Akerfeldt both got careers as steel musicians.

7Preparing to go on a long two-month headlining tour with Motograter and best friends Twisted Method. The tour is called the "American Apathy Tour," named after the upcoming Dope album. [September 2004]
8Edsel Dope recently announced that the band is taking a break and will come together for a fifth album in the summer to be completed for early 2007. Right now, Edsel and Virus of Dope are playing for Makeshift-Romeo and Brix and Racci Sahy are touring with Wednesday 13. [April 2006]
9Dope has released three full length albums:Felons & Revolutionaries (no bonus track) September 21, 1999 (with bonus track) July 18, 2000Life - November 6, 2001Group Therapy - October 21, 2003In October of 2002, they released a sort of "greatest hits" album that could only be purchased at live shows, sort of as a thank you to the fans. The CD sold for $10, included 22 (including a live track and plentyof old demo songs from their past, as well as a demo of the song Bitch), and was called Felons For Life.
