Appreciated for his role in overturning the Australian legal policy of terra nullius, this political activist fought for indigenous Australians’ get rights. Before getting an activist, he proved helpful being a gardener at Queensland’s Adam Cook School. He was the posthumous receiver of the 1992 Australian Individual Privileges Medal. His relationship to fellow activist Bonita Mabo led to a child called Gail. He and poet Oodgeroo Noonuccal had been both Aboriginal privileges activists in Australia.
